Isaiah Thomas firmly believes that his life purpose goes beyond the game of basketball. That's why he is always giving back to his community. He's passionate about fitness and education and does his part to try and share this passion with young fans.
Kit Carson Middle School Shooting Station / Family Fitness Night at Nicholas ElementaryLast November he teamed up with Kit Carson Middle School by teaching shooting fundamentals to students at the school's health fair. Summer Reading Book Drive at Roosevelt Elementary School
Last summer, Thomas spent some time with a group of students at Roosevelt Elementary School in his hometown of Tacoma, Washington. His mission was to teach the children the importance of summer reading in order to learn about unforgettable words and experiences. He even went a step further and teamed up with World Vision and Metro Parks by helping them to distribute 500 new books to the children.
The Isaiah Thomas Youth Skills Academy
Every summer, Thomas holds his Youth Skills Academy sponsored by Elite Youth Camps, to help local youth with their basketball skills by granting them the exclusive experience of learning from a professional. At this camp, participants not only learn essential drills that will help them to hone their abilities on the court but they'll also gain valuable memories of hanging out with a hometown hero that they can look up to.
When it comes to giving back, Isaiah Thomas is always willing and generous with his time. He gives back not out of obligation but because of the desire in his heart to reach out to others and make a difference in their lives.
